Graveyard Keeper 2 bronze detail

Bronze Detail is the mid-game bottleneck: every bronze tool, the bronze sword and armour, Polished Bronze and Reinforced Plank need it, and 28 building entries take it as a build cost — the Study Table, Laboratory I, Formulation Bench and Smithy I among them. Making it is simple (one Bronze Ingot yields six); the three gates are what catch people out.

Where the ingredients come from

Ingredient Needed Made at
Bronze Ingot ×1 Furnace I · Furnace II 3 Copper Nugget + 1 Tin + 20 Fuel → 4, 9 ticks3 Bronze Scrap + 10 Fuel → 2, 9 ticks

“Made at” names the station that can make each ingredient, and the line under it is the actual recipe (inputs → yield, ticks); “no producing row” means the recipe, alchemy mix and crop tables all come up empty — you gather, hunt, buy or loot it instead.

Fuel is not something you carry: nothing in the game hands you a stack of it — you put Firewood into a Firewood shed and the shed supplies the workbenches in its zone (the shed window carries that instruction line).

The Firewood shed I window in game: fuel 50/100 at the top, and the row that turns firewood into fuel below
The shed's own window. Its instruction line reads “Put the material in the firewood shed to provide fuel for the workbenches”, and the row below it is the conversion: 2 Firewood in, 20 Fuel out.
An in-game yard: the furnace, the workbench and the Firewood shed standing together, with 50 fuel shown above the shed
How it looks in play: the shed stands in the same zone as the furnace and the workbench, and the number floating above it is the fuel those workbenches can draw on.

Common questions

How do you make bronze detail?
At any anvil — Wooden, Iron or Steel — the recipe is identical: 1× Bronze Ingot in, 6× Bronze Detail out, 5 ticks, no fuel. There is no better anvil.
Why is the recipe missing from my anvil?
Three gates, and all three have to be open: the Bronze Craft research (30 red) has to be learned, a Hardening Bucket has to stand beside that anvil — it is the extension this recipe names, and an anvil alone will not offer it — and the recipe itself carries a mastery requirement of 2.
Where does the bronze ingot come from?
A furnace, two ways: 3× Copper Nugget + 1× Tin + 20× Fuel makes 4 ingots, or 3× Bronze Scrap + 10× Fuel makes 2. Both take 9 ticks; the anvils that need ingots do not smelt them.
What is bronze detail used for?
Sixteen recipes and 28 building entries. The recipes are the bronze tool set (axe, shovel, pickaxe, hammer, chisel), the bronze sword, bronze armour, copper trinkets, the bronze talisman, the butcher's kit, the light pike, the basic rod — plus Polished Bronze, Reinforced Plank and Advanced Detail. The build costs start at 2 (Firewood shed II, Gardener Stand) and run to 8 (Confession Booth II).
Which quest asks for bronze detail?
One: Jack's boat. The workshop foreman asks for 5 Bronze Detail and consumes them — the quest text is “Jack needs tools to finish the boat. He's building it in Twin's Land.” The reward is the Blacksmith's Clothes.
