Graveyard Keeper 2 guide: start here

This Graveyard Keeper 2 guide does one job: point you at the next page. On a fresh save, start with “Your first hour”; if something is stuck, jump to “Beginner troubleshooting”; if you only want numbers, the tables below are generated from the demo's own game data. Every figure is stamped with the build it was read from — 2026-09-15, full release 2026-09-22.

Pick the page that fits your situation

7 original guides, each separating its evidence — game data, objective text, gameplay captions or editorial judgement. The cards below are ordered by situation; the full list is in All guides.

  • Your first hour Start here on a fresh save: dungeon, town sequence, first grave and first Burial Certificate — each claim marked as game data or caption-checked gameplay.
  • Beginner troubleshooting Blocked? Find the symptom: a quest that will not advance, no energy, not enough tech points, crops, fishing or construction that will not work.
  • Early tech route Wood, bronze, fuel or gardening first? Every purchase with its cost and what it actually unlocks — no need to bank points first.
  • Basic resources Where wood, Bronze Scrap, stone, clay, seeds and early food come from, and what to spend them on first.
  • Early money guide What Burial Certificates sell for, which goods Herm buys, and which building materials are a mistake to sell early.
  • Graveyard & burial How red and white skulls are counted, whether headstones and fences pay off, the first body, and when cremation is worth it.

Demo boundaries

Only 51 of the 236 research nodes are marked as available in the demo, and the full tech tree table is still being prepared — the early tech route tells you what to take first. Items, recipes, buildings and the 60 corpse types are read from the demo build as well.

Content behind the full release on 2026-09-22 gets added in batches, and the site's own pages ship in batches too — new pages show up in the left navigation.

For official wording, use Updates and the FAQ — both only cite the storefront and announcement pages.
